A community-based 501(c)(3) championing health equity and education across the Tampa Bay region since 2010.
Our Story
Founded in 2010 — rooted in community, growing toward equity.
Help-Us Help-U, Inc. began with a focus on community-level public health education for HIV and Hepatitis C in the greater Tampa–St. Petersburg metropolitan area. From those roots, our work has grown to include behavioral health support, harm-reduction outreach, peer-led youth education, and wrap-around community services for vulnerable and underserved populations.
We believe knowledge, access, and dignity are the foundations of public health — and they belong to every community member regardless of income, background, or circumstance. We work in partnership with other community-based organizations and public health professionals to build a region where health and wellness are accessible as a way of life.

We champion health equity by delivering accessible public health education, preventive wellness programs, behavioral health support, and wrap-around community outreach. We strive to eliminate systemic barriers by offering holistic services that address the physical, mental, and social well-being of low-income individuals and families.

A community where every individual can live a healthy, dignified life.
A Tampa Bay region where every individual — regardless of income, background, or circumstance — has the knowledge, support, and resources to live a healthy, dignified life, and where systemic barriers to wellness have been eliminated through education, advocacy, and wrap-around community support.

Varied, accessible approaches to public health education — meeting community members where they are with information they can use.

Engaging community in becoming health literate and self-advocates for their well-being and that of their families.
Reducing Stigma
Reducing misunderstanding and stigma associated with chronic conditions and behavioral health through education, advocacy, and social responsibility.
Preserving Dignity
Preserving dignity and quality of life for individuals impacted by chronic conditions through accessible, comprehensive community resources.

Providing wrap-around assistance with service access, navigation, and referrals to partner organizations.
